I was born and raised in Northern California, but have deep roots in Idaho. Both of my parents were born and raised here and I spent my childhood summers and holidays here with both sets of grandparents; in Grand View and Nampa. So although I am not technically an Idaho native, I am rooted here. My husband and I were high school sweethearts and vowed to leave California as soon as we could. Growing up in such a small town you have to be creative and make the best of some dirt, feedlots, animals, and countryside. It was a great way to grow up and great place to be raised. I came to Boise after my high school graduation to pursue an education in teaching Physical Education.
